Spent the entire day on the beach. Did a bit of snorkeling by our condo. Had a green turtle feeding right by our sea wall.

For dinner, we had another Hawaiian style dinner at a Hawaiian BBQ place.

Got a text from Jim and Patty Hill. They landed in Maui. Welcome to Hawaii guys. Sheila and I look forward to getting together with …

Started the morning at Slappy Cakes for breakfast. I had the Hawaiian Pancakes (Pineapple, Macadamia Nuts, and Coconut). Sheila had the Banana Bread French Toast. The food was great.

Next we headed toward the northwest side of Maui. We encountered the Nakalele Point Blowholes. That was an interesting climb down to the blowholes and even …

We spent the rest of the afternoon on a drive to the southern most part of the island and Makena State Park - the end of the road!! On our way, we went through Wailea - expensive side of the island. At the state park, we …

Woke up to the sounds of the ocean. We got a good four hours sleep. Started today with a walk on the beach. Attached is a great picture of a crab we saw sunning along the beach. Later, we found out he was deceased. I was wondering why we were able to get so close. Then a trip to McDonald's for breakfast. We needed our McGriddle fix!!

For our transition day from the wet side of Maui to the dry side (Hana to Lahaina), we made two stops along the way so we didn't have to drive the Hana Highway in one drive. The Hana Highway is incredibly dangerous and very crowded. It has many one way bridges that create some intense traffic situations. The first park, Pua'a Ka'a, had a small waterfall and some picnic tables. The scenery was pretty and the pool from the fall was somewhere we could swim, but we didn't because we ...
