    Ochi Day in Greece and Musical Goats!

    ... seaweed that was really dense. At first I thought they were sea eggs.

    The highlight of the day would have to be the herd of about 40 goats that crossed the road in front of us. Every goat had a large bell around its neck and the music from these bells was amazing. It was like someone was playing the xylophone! We stopped and listened for about ten minutes. Some of the larger goats were standing on their hind legs and eating out of the trees!

    ... apples, read as 'heavily pock-marked' into a bag for us, then dried figs, and pomegranates, despite us saying, no thanks, no more.     ... gorgeous vistas, beaches, and more great Greek cuisine. We rented a car for one day but could easily have filled another day with a 4x4. I was surprised by the arid landscape beyond the fertile valley of the interior, yet this is an island with more green space than others in the Cyclades. I suppose I associate islands (Vancouver Island, Ireland) with verdure but such is not the case in Greece.

    ... the day. We stayed there most of the arvo, except to walk into Imerovigli for some drinks and snacks. The next morning we woke up to a beautiful day once again with the sun high in the sky and not a cloud in sight. We went to breakfast at the hotel, where our seats over looked the ocean and was a spectacular view.     ... and it was damn awesome. Beautiful BBQ pork with the most delicious salads, dolmades, fresh crusty bread, and a glass of ouzo to wash it down with....couldn't get more greek if i tried!! With a full belly as the boat set off again i kicked back on the netting where you can sit as the waves go under you and i felt spectacular.
