... house in Budapest was built in direct comparison to the one in Vienna in an attempt to show it up. It was decorated beautifully, but my favorite part of the tour was actually learning about the aristocracy and how the behaved when they went to the Opera. We heard stories about young couples hiding from their parents in the smoking room, and commoners paying for seats that didn't even view the stage.

... great waiter who spoke really good English and helped to explain what everything was. We grabbed our menus and had a bit of a giggle at how cheap everything was. I asked the waiter for a local beer and was given a thumbs up and half litre of Borsodi (pronounced Borshodi) which went down a treat and cost about €0.50 cents.
