      ... the hostel, (to set the scene it is like something off the horror film 'hostel') we picked up some bits for lunch and then after using the communal kitchen decided that it would be the last time we cooked in there. We decided that after a hard morning in the surf we deserved to rest by the pool and then headed back into the centre to eat, shop with lots going on on the esplanade for all the 'schoolies' party party time.

      ... World the sea lion, dolphin and jet ski shows were amazing. We all loved watching the animals, especially the penguins and sting rays. The Sky Climb, Jet Rescue, Sky Rail and the new Storm ride we all enjoyed.       ... deep fried, but luckily not battered or breadcrumbed (otherwise she might not have spotted it) a black beetle hidden amongst her chips. Game over, remnants were dumped and we left !!

      We stayed last night in a town called Gympie. The shops there were selling strange one piece suits complete with full head covering. Good luck to whoever tries to explain that joke to Mum !! Over to you Graham !!

      ... one of the worlds tallest residential towers. The view was spectacular, as far as the eyes could see of white sand and the nearby high rise buildings combined with the winding rivers of Surfers Paradise. We saw the view by day and night after watching the sunset. We were struck by the lack of things to do and we were happy we only planned a 2 night stay. Next stop Brisbane.
