... cheap and decent food. I got a
sizzling plate with sour and chili tofu, sliced cabbage and potato, a
fried egg, and rice. It was warming and delicious!

We coordinated to meet Daniel back at
the hostel. He had spent the day with some other friends at the beach
and we were ready to start the next part of our night. After a lot of
waffling, we decided to not go on the huge pub crawl offered by most
of the hostels in Surfers Paradise. We ...

The second purchase was the book, a book costing 50 cents, a book that would make both Gemma and I very happy, a book that nothing to do with New Zealand at all... Started our 10km rainforest walk to Minyon Falls and Minyon Grass in our rain ponchos but it stopped raining so we took them off. A beautiful walk with well maintained paths. Some ...

All of us had surfed before except al whic resulted in the title of this blog, a hopeful desire to "be the board" haha. Waves were v extreme. Got dumped a lot and ended up doing a roley poleys with the surfboard passing over my head. Managed to stand up for a grand total of 3 seconds. Such a cool kid. Excited for this evening of cards and hot dogs, and my future ...

... was a slight heart attack. (I didn't tell Sue) I will NOT be recycling for the next couple of days! Following days back down to the beach again skirting the outsides of Sydney. Stayed out side the stanwell Park surf club before meeting up with another mate from Wales. Met up with Dave McCarthy and his wife for a bit of site seeing and a BarBQ in the afternoon. Another great day with old friends catching up and having a tinny or ...
