    Waking up in Dubai

A travel blog entry by cg_howell on Mar 07, 2015

I'm going to attempt to keep a daily log of my time here in Dubai. We'll see how it turns out.

Anyway, I arrived yesterday afternoon after what seemed like an eternity of travel time. I missed my second flight on the way here because my first was delayed over 8 hours. After all was said and done, I ended up arriving at my hostel-like …

... restaurant as last night. Tomorrow we fly home at 10.10 am which will conclude our Turkish Delight. We sincerely hope that the penguin remains in Dubai.

    The Captain sources good accommodation.
The Captain is the Captain of his ship.

Bye for now until our next escapade

It's got a great feel here. Have felt completely safe and warmly welcomed ...

... least (we reckon it is fractionally bigger than the camper vans we hire in Australia) we have a fridge, hob and ensuite, so it is proving very comfortable and convenient. The first two days we spent recovering from jet lag and getting some welcome exercise walking around. It is such a pleasant city to wander around after Dubai.

Our last 2 days we spent taking ferries across the harbour visiting Devonport and a couple if islands. Although a city ...

    Sydney Flight: Day 1

A travel blog entry by kylie_jenkin on Nov 05, 2014

We didn't get off to a great start when the car that was meant to be picking us up arrived early and took two other guests to the airport instead! Andy was on the phone for about 20 minutes to some useless guy trying to explain the situation (his reply- 'are you sure you're not at the airport??') but luckily the hotel took pity on us ...
