    Waking up in Dubai

A travel blog entry by cg_howell on Mar 07, 2015

I'm going to attempt to keep a daily log of my time here in Dubai. We'll see how it turns out.

Anyway, I arrived yesterday afternoon after what seemed like an eternity of travel time. I missed my second flight on the way here because my first was delayed over 8 hours. After all was said and done, I ended up arriving at my hostel-like …

Markus drove us to the Jumeriah Beach resort hotel pointing out buildings along the way, such as pictures of the country’s leaders which are displayed on the roadside, as well as both the oldest (20+ years) and the newest skyscraper (still under construction). They kept what turned out to be a 2 hour slow crawl through ...

Dan sent me a message last night. He wanted me to know that he still liked me, but wanted to know where my head was at. Specifically, because one moment I am telling him that I want to do my journey alone, then he will read my blog and see that I am having a change of heart. He wanted the best for me, but didn't want to feel like he was a puppet in another man's love story. He was right. It hurt to hear, but when I looked at it from his side, I would ...
