... The rocks are too hot for flip flops!' Cool! We trekked up a rock strewn, wind swept track to peer into a couple of volcano craters! Awesome! I put my hand into a hole and felt how hot the stones were. Chris didn't bother? And we could smell sulphurous fumes coming from the ground. That was it! No lava, no geysers (besides us), no bubbling pools of mud. Chris was impressed. We salvaged ...

We climbed the stairs and steep grade again and waited and waited. Eventually I decided to wander a bit and low and behold I found the driver. The bottom was actually a little disappointing it was just a port! We saw a giagantic cruise ship though which was interesting. Jacqui was pleased to talk to other tourist who went over to the volcano who said it was f***ing freezing, and ...

      Just back from Santorini.

What an amazing trip. We took a "see Santorini in one day" tour with Kamari Tours and our tour guide was Tana (highly recommended).

The tour bus picked us up from Fira (the islands capital) at 9.15am and headed first for Mount Prophet Elias where we had we had panoramic views of Santorini, the Caldera (crater) and volcano.

We then headed on the bus and spent half an hour in the village ...
