Arrived at Las Palmas at 10am and it was beautifully warm. We set off through the city to the lovely long beach area. There was a wide promenade are and we walked a couple of km along it and the beach. Had a cup of tea and cake watching the surfers at the break at the end of the beach near the theatre. Walked back into ...

We thought we'd sit for a while under the shade of a tree but did not realize that we were in the nudist area until we left and saw the sign. We had been warned on the ship to expect this. As we journeyed on, I heard the sounds of a radio. The Spanish speaking DJ was sounding jovial and companionable, playing a whacky selection of Guns & Roses, Duran Duran, Bee Gees and Jimmy Cliff (Reggae ...

    Cruise - Day 7

We docked at Gran Canaria at around 07:00 local time. Clearance was granted at around 08:00, so passengers and crew were able to go ashore shortly afterwards. We were advised that the back on board time was 17:30 local. We disembarked at around 12:45 and walked around the quayside to see for the first time, Britannia's Union Flag bow. The water was very blue and the port had a ...
