... and prearranged transport are all easily accessible. Having never been to Prague, we booked an airport transfer with Prague Airport Transfer. Highly recommended from TripAdvisor and more importantly the TA travel forum, we were met at the arrival hall and quickly whisked away by private car directly to our hotel. ... beautiful views of the city, and being a castle the grounds were giant, but the views were the best !!!! We descended down a whole lot of steps, but just once as that was where the changing of the guard was and the processions of long ago.
Found a Tesco grocery and department store right at a tram stop, so now we are like the locals, buying groceries and taking the subway home!!! So glad we have 3 weeks to figure out the city and learn to be like a ...

We got a bit of a sleep in today, then went for a walk into town to the Wenceslas Square, where we retraced our steps from the other day to find the vegetarian restaurant we had passed the other day. We found it without too much trouble and went inside. It was a buffet style, that goes by weight, so we just got one plate to share, because we didn't know how much it was going to cost us! ... dinner in Old Town Square. They have small market stalls doing hog roasts etc so I had Staroprażsa šunka and Halušky, which is basically Ham and Potato and Cabbage. It was delicious, but I got robbed. The price was RIDICULOUS which they disguise with advertising prices per measurement not by what they give you. 22 quid for that? By the time I realised what I had paid it was too late! You win some... We head back to the hostel to freshen up ...
