So we arrived at this very nice house and we were greeted by a strange guy who immediately asked us to take our shoes off at the door. He showed us the kitchen and explained do not take food or drink upstairs so we were like ok. He said if we go to the beach we need to wash our feet on arrival and use the towel he has left outside. So after our marching orders we proceeded to bed. The next day we woke up ...

... You won't regret it. Our last full day in Florida was for Leah's birthday, and I guess I can tell you now I'm taking her to Madrid in September as her present! :) we spent the morning very lazily and went shopping later on before an afternoon beach session (in case you hadn't guessed, we lived on that beach, and it was amazing!). We have really enjoyed topsail hill, pretty centrally located, bike riding and mostly private beach access. Plus lakes, kayak and canoe rentals, tall pines to camp under and great staff. Today is red and purple flag day again so no beach. Hit the pool, did some bike riding ...

    Seaside

Went to seaside today, very fun area with quaint shops, food trucks and beach access. Found a heck of a deal for a kids sand shovel, only $28. Had great lunch at crab shack, really yummy food! Had red gulf shrimp and Rick had Cuban sandwich on an elevated patio over the beach. Very awesome views with cool breezes. Red and purple flags meant dangerous waters and jelly fish. Surf up 8-10 feet so no swimming in the ocean ...
