    ... Shore Beach and headed down to Orange Beach. As we settled down on the white sands a huge storm suddenly appeared on the horizon and within minutes we were engulfed in torrential rain which was as warm as a bath. The kids couldn't care less and continued to swim in the sea while Lee and I huddled in the car. Within ten minutes it had passed. Crazy weather! It has been great visiting Alabama which is very much a less well trodden tourist state but nonetheless lovely. Next stop ...

    ... gave me a pound of shrimp that had to be peeled and deveined to eat! Everyone else was eating regular dinner fare. There was a lot of good natured teasing about me being a picky and slow eater. At least my stomach was not protesting that night!
