    ... and Mississippi. It mostly follows the gulf along with all the bayous along the way. There are these great stilt houses on both sides of the road, and water is everywhere. All of the stilt houses look new since we were here in 2001. Most were destroyed in one of the hurricanes that had passed through since then. They were still great to look at.

    ... I take so long to get in the water in Cayman. Invigorating and so beautiful. Such a strong current I was so so tired swimming back and had to swim hard! I could have stayed in there for so much longer as it was so beautiful - although I may have froze. My insides felts cold when Ingot out of the water.     ... food on the end of the rod. It was quite fun as they jumped up and grabbed it viciously. You would not want to mess with one! After a few hours of being engrossed in all of this we headed home as we had a big drive to New Orleans the next day. It was about 4 hours to New Orleans and we had to drop the car back to the rental company which was a bit sad! I think we had worked out that it had been 3500 miles ...

    This year we had only three families: Tim, Jodi, Cassidy and Dani from Berkeley, Chris and Abbey's family of six from Dallas, and Lee and I. One week of playing, swimming, fishing, beaching, paddle boarding and of course eating.
