... As it was the hottest part of the day and the temp was 37C it was time to settle down with a film.....oh such a choice!! No need to watch any of that chick flick stuff......:) Pottered around for the rest of the afternoon and then at 5:30pm moved up to the pool for a dip and quick 20 lengths. I was the only one there. Swim done, showered, changed and retired to the patio with a beer and watching the tennis for a couple of hours before making supper. Kittens and Mrs ...

Fri 19th Jun - Rob and Sarah were up before 6am to catch the cool morning air before the sun gets to hot. Today it is expected to get to around 35C. Nice relaxing start to the day sat on the back patio just listening to the birds and looking at the clear blue sky. Breakfast of scrambled egg on toast with copious cups of tea was followed by a crossword to get the brain in gear! Eventually by 10am we were ready for a short drive up to the Buffavento peak and off east into the hills. ...

Quite a few historical sites in Larnaca, for that matter Cyprus, as it seems everyone has ...

... down onto the central plain and then east. Weather warm and sunny. Just over an hour later we arrived at Gazimagusa and headed for the old town inside the ancient walls. A stroll, around the wall before then heading thro the windy streets in town, popping into the odd shop along the way. Stopped for freshly squeezed orange juice and a bit of a rest which was much needed. Old town explored we then took the 5 minute drive to ...

Woke up to a nice sunny day so we will enjoy our walk in the hills. Prepared our backpack, water, lunch, camera, binos, waterproofs (Just in case) and our walking guide book. Showered, breakfasted and we set off for the 20 min drive to Esentepe village where we parked up near the football stadium. The village was formerly known as Ayios Amvrosias and most of the local inhabitants of today originated from the village of Esentepe in Paphos district of south Cyprus. They resettled here in ...
