    ... pineapple margaritas because of the earlier experience and he loads up tasty guacamole and burritos. Delicioso! Afterward dinner we found Junior's for a very very delicious cheesecake. OMG! Definitely worth the reputation . Yum!

    Then we walk home in the sweltering heat back to our hotel room for the night. All in all.... a wonderfully hot day! It's official my guy is growing up.

    ... thought) and off we went on a zig zag ride through back streets and car parks, sometimes getting up to 60mph in a 30 zone (yep, Jonathan was nervously watching the speedo)

    But he did get us to the station, where the ticket officer told us there were just six tickets left for the train. When we finished buying them, there were four :-)

    We had made the pedestrian crossing in plenty of time for the train, and Robyn killed time ...

    ... on the fields, volleyball, softball, baseball, Frisbee, etc. I could have rented a bike, but decided against it. There is definitely a lot to do in Central Park and I can see why New Yorkers flock to the park in good weather.

    Time Square reminded me of many of the central city district of cities like Tokyo, Berlin, Paris, etc. Definitely a tourist ...

    We deliberated over the best way to see New York - our first visit - and, based on advice, decided to walk around part of Manhattan. We docked on the Hudson River (at W 50th St for those in the know) and walked south to W 42nd St so we could see the famous Times Square, and then north along 5th Avenue.

    Times Avenue was a big disappointment. We expected an impressive square with maybe gardens, ...

    We had spent the whole day walking the city, a later search on Google maps told us that just between our most northerly and southerly points alone was 4.8 miles. We must have doubled that distance with all the east to west detours we made.
