    ... public beach access points. We choose the Gulf State Park with a long pier jutting out into the ocean. We had to pay $3.00 a person for the privilege of walking out on the pier and peering back at land. (they get you coming and going nowadays!) But, the pelicans we meet on the way make the entry fee bearable. We end the sunny, breezy and warm day at "the beach" with a grown up drink (Pina Colada for me) at a beach bar named the Pink ...

    ... D-Day at Normandy". We chose to see "The Magic of Flight" as it was made specifically for this theater and featured the Blue Angels. Can't wait to see them next time they perform in San Francisco. We were so glad we saw it. Thank you Debbie and Rusty for the heads up.

    Whew! Height of the tunnel was 16'! No sweat. We could do this.

    We drove into the tunnel and everything was good. We came out the other end unscathed and breathing easier. In the meantime, the GPS had recalculated our route and we were in sync again. We had defied it, but it forgave us.

    Were we feeling cocky, when the GPS wanted us to turn on a different road ...
