    Seven years ago when we were here, we had put a Walmart location into our GPS to do some shopping. This was at a place called "Pass Christian", when we got to the point that Walmart was supposed to be located all we found was a cement slab Katrina had wiped out the building and most of the coastline including the boardwalk that followed the beach. Houses near the water had been devastated.

    So much re-building work has happened ...

    A little warmer today. Hope to plop a chair down on the beach this afternoon. Getting some things ready for traveling tomorrow. Did a little RV cleaning, took a drive to the Flora-Bama to see what it was, had a beer on the deck then found a beach (finally) to relax and it was super windy and chilly so not much relaxin' happened. Sun was warm and the sound of the waves nice...but we should have brought our coats! Oh well...it is ...

    ... on most surfaces. Our water supply was frozen and the propane was running low. Wednesday morning, the Interstate bridge to Mobile was closed and nothing was moving. One more night at Bella Terra was required. As the roads began to clear late in the afternoon we did get out for a little shopping for an electric space heater (sold out) and found most stores closed.
