    ... learned that the area of the labrynith was able to survive with no water. Wow!!!! Following this visit to the gardens we headed to manchester to see my sister, brother in law and niece and nephew. The GPS was great and took us on the country roads to avoid the traffic.     Happy 4th of July America! We celebrated the idea of Independence Day by transporting ourselves by bus and train to join our dear friends Helen and Samantha Arrona at their home in Bolton, England.It's so nice to spend time with dear, old friends.     ... When I finally arrived at Manchester I raced to the train station to catch the next train to Sheffield, but once I was on it I was so confused! It was stopping at all these other places & then I found out it stopped at medowhall, which is the stop before chapeltown where I needed to get off.     ... of this fairly large complex to get to the Maritime Museum, inside of which was the Slavery Museum. Liverpool was the major port in England's role in the slave trade, and although England was the first country to outlaw slavery and became outspoken opponents of it, Liverpool had mad a lot of money from it, and Britain still had a lot to answer for. The museum was interesting, but it was another that was confusingly laid out, and it was difficult to find a logical order to it.
