    Woke up to a beautiful sunny morning, with wonderful view over Darling Harbour. Then went out with Claire and Mike to buy supplies for New Years Eve. Bought plenty of champagne and Mikes beer. Had a walk around Darling Harbour, looks beautiful. There is an old galleon, and a warship and a submarine with a massive pink octopus sitting on it.     ... a couple of years ago that we were last here. We walked a short distance down the hill to Circular Quay, the heart of the city where the ferry's shuttle in and out. You can see the Harbour Bridge from most of the streets in The Rocks, as that's where the city side of the bridge is, but as you get to Circular Quay you see the Opera House as well, the stereotypical image of Sydney.
