... to confirm! Half an our later we were ready to start - our chef was a lovely Italian guy named Mario (no ****!) And he got us started straight into the dessert - almond-based chocolate cake (well a type of it). I forget the actual name, but Emma wrote down the recipe so we will never forget it!

We slept in a bit today – yeh. Then after a little grocery shopping we drove to Levane to visit our Zia Nanina and Alita. When I rang her earlier in the year she said she might not last to our visit. Today Luke wanted to take the Fiat out for a spin & go to the top of the mountain. We drove up the windy little road until it turned into a one lane road and came to a park with a abandoned farm house. Went to Florence by train on Thursday. Very big city with lots of statues, especially David. Had a walk around and walked across Ponte Vecchio which is full of gold shops - very nice! i would have to say it was not one of my favourite cities. It was OK but very big. ... when I return. It just means I'll feel a little more sorry for you as I relax and watch you do it).
The only other new I can think of for today is that I officially only have three weeks left now. I cannot tell you how happy that makes me. Also, the vegetable shop seems to have given us most of it's stock for this week so that will be another fun, veggy-filled cooking day soon. Joy unbounded!
