We stayed in bed waiting for the place to warm up again this morning, we can hear the hail bouncing on the roof. We have coffee and biscuits with the campsite owners and ask if we can use the washing machine. There still isn't any WIFI this morning and our signal is rubbish and as we need to confirm some information for our spring travel arrangements we set off to find some unlocked free WIFI. We parked outside the Aquarium and yes, ...

The overnight hail, thunder and lightening disturbed us several times, we are reluctant to get up until the heating has warmed up. There are occasional breaks in the rain today, so we took the opportunity to take Logan out. He suggested buying a top up card at the kiosk and taking it back and he would activate it for us. We ...

Today I went to the museum and looked at the findings from the Minoans at Knossos and Phaestos. Great tour with all kinds of amazing pieces. They were a head of their time in craftsmanship. They were the leaders in shipping and controlled the seas. There were several palaces on Crete and survived for about 3,000 years, before the volcanic eruption of Santorini whipped out the whole island around 1370 ...

... far from the cotton plantations, but I kept walking. After a bit, I was more interested, as they were becoming more prevalent and on different kinds of stalk. After closer inspection, these buds of white, which were literally hundreds to a plant, were snails. It was remarkable to see that many, so far from heavy precipitation. Thousands of them could be seen in a few ...
