    ... s boat licence. Lifejackets? "No, I didn't bother to put any in, so you would have more room in the boat." OK... The initial plan was to head out of the harbour and round to the old city side so we could see the old city and the walls from the water side. However the waters off Dubrovnik are much less sheltered than the waters off Split, there was a slight swell and the breeze made the conditions quite choppy. Neither comfortable nor hugely ...

    ... was just down the hill from our apartment so it was an easy trip! The first night we got some reccommendations for restaurants and went to the old town for a late but very tasty fish dinner in the heart of Dubrovnik. Our first full day in Dubrovnik we did a tour of the old town and a tour of the city walls.     ... Water was taken and sneakers were worn (on all previous ports it has either been Birkenstocks or slip on shoes). Having now completed the walk in the glaring Croatian sun, I am certainly glad we were prepared, especially for the 744 steps the walk involves. It was hard work, but the views were worth it. Unfortunately, some of the other people on the tour were not so prepared. Either they didn't read the trip description or they decided that the rules didn’t apply ...

    Vege gardening Dubrovnik - Why does mine - oops - our vege garden not look this good?

    Little fishes at the Kamenice Cafe in Dubrovnik - Hopefully these fishes were not fishes caught and played with by the cat on yesterday! I am sure they were not.
