It is the exact location that John McCrae wrote In Flanders Fields. It was in a series of bunkers that were used by the Canadian troops as a hospital.     ... I have a nice half chicken and we both have more fries than we can eat. Shops are closed and there aren't near as many people walking the streets. we find a couple of chocolate stores till open and pick up a bag of chose our own. Might be enough for tonight, yep it was but just barely. will need more for tomorrow night :).


    back to our hotel and in for the night. it's rather quiet even though we are on one of the squares. that's nice. very nice ...

    ... the most beautiful city in Western Europe that I have seen thus far. (I like Munich the best) Fairytale like (fake) Medieval town with beautiful clean canals and perfect like stores. Charming architecture and no language barrier makes for a dream vacation!
