      ... seen so far.

The family run restaurant as part of the complex (I use the word complex loosely) opened at 7:00. We are Canadians so we sat on their patio and watched the olive wood being brought in for the pizza oven, the oven being lit, the pizza dough being kneed into balls and stored in the warming drawer, the pizzas being made and thrown, the pizzas being topped, baked and then either delivered to us or into boxes as they were picked up. Needless to say Larry ...

So, we have not had any wifi access since leaving Amalfi on Thursday! I'm typing this on a tiny Samsung, so please forgive any typing or formatting errors. We left the wonderful Settebello Hotel and the family that run it at 10am on Thursday to set off for Sicily. ... sand. I didn't go swimming so we tried looking for shops to get some souvenirs etc. it was mainly eateries and restaurants. Don was feeling like a hamburger so we tried this modern Italian bar/cafe. Bingo they had a hamburger ( meat patty, prosciutto, tomato and lettuce with chips) I had an enormous salad and as a bonus there was beetroot. We had a bit more of a look at a store which was the first one we'd seen run by Asians. Back to Mammola ...

After a good sleep but on a very firm mattress we went to brekkie 8.30am. Antonio had a fruit pastry tart with coffee and I had tea. Again it was humorous to watch the idea of tea with milk being understood. That was our brekkie! Amazing. However after last nights meal we were so full anyway. We planned to head to the mountains in front of our accommodation after a walk around town to find Aunty Lisa's house. We followed our google map up very narrow, steep streets ...

... he rescued us. We followed behind him to our accommodation. There was no way we would have found it. The info given was an area not an exact address and even with that there was no signs saying " Sea Calabria". We settled into our big room and booked tea for 7.30pm. We realised that no one eats before 8-9pm so we were an oddity. The food was plentiful as usual and I have now developed a twitch each time I hear a kitchen door swing open as I hope they aren't bringing more food ...
