... a short walk from our hotel). With clever colourful lighting and digital projection on various parts of the walls, floors, columns etc they brought the Forum and Temple to life. It was great to see how it would have looked and functioned. Of course, like most of Ancient Rome, all the decorations, marble, mosaics, etc are long gone and there are bits that have medieval structures built over them etc, so seeing a reproduction was very helpful in making sense of it ...

... kindly told him NO! He got super ****** and said "no no you don't touch." I just walked away and ignored him and he told me to **** off :) or at least that's what he sounded like he was trying to say! We also had two creepy guys almost following us and constantly looking at us so I shook my head every time they looked. I am not taking **** from these stupid guys that are trying to mess with us. So then they were close and looking so I again nicely said "really bro?". ...

There’s a large shelving unit along the same wall that the table is on and another large closet unit on the perpendicular wall with the window. Karen said it looked like Ikea furniture from the pictures and fittingly, there was an Ikea catalog on the bookshelf! There was a stack at the mail boxes so they must have just been delivered.

We also learnt how the Colosseum was built and how it operated. Next we went to one of the most important areas of Ancient Rome. Up early for 0630 pickup. Waiting, we discovered Stefano behind the desk at Hotel Tritone lived in Canberra! Kambah to be precise. We got the same Appian Line driver as yesterday. "No banco today!" he says :) Another Stefano was our guide through the Vatican Museum - and he was a pleasure to listen to. The museum contains myriad beautiful and priceless artifacts. Reminded me of the British Museum in that regard. Also reminded me of the stupendous wealth of the Church. ...
