Rome II
... was the plan. One thing we have problems with in Rome is figuring out the buses. At any rate we took an electric bus, small bus used in the older sections of town, to get to an area close to the piazza. Unfortunately we bailed too soon and ended up with another hike. Finally we got there and walked through some of the trendier areas of Rome, lots of designer shops, very upscale. After a bit we took another bus that got us back fairly close to the apartment.

... the language barrier between English, Spanish, and Italian. My initial thought that they all smell bad was wrong, not all of them do. But I know it was not just one person cause it happened three or four other tomes in crowded metros and buses. Over all, Italy was lots of Fun and a great place to visit if you have friends, time, patience, and knowledge of the hidden attractions. Life and Death in a Taxi

Arthur Land has to be the coolest shop ever, with Fairy's, Goblin's and witch paraphernalia, coupled with Roman swords and helmets, weapons from Lord or the Rings, all of the wands from the Harry Potter movies, necklace just like the one Arwen wears. Evidently the Italians have a thing for medieval/romance mysticism. Must go back to the store before I leave to pick up a few things.

Ik ben nooit zo'n Amerika fan geweest, maar het is verrassend in wat voor rap tempo ik het kleine beetje sympathie voor de Amerikanen aan het verliezen ben. Since we were so close to our lovely apartment we went back to relax on the terrace with our books, and as usual when reading I passed out in all of 5 minutes. Hopeless! It’s a wonder I get to read any books at all!
