Pittige, mooie en ontspannende weken
... voor de charmes van Jitske was gevallen, kwamen we terecht in het robotmuseum. En daar hebben we kunnen spelen met Aibo, de robothond van Sony. En wat is-ie leuk, echt geweldig! Maar nee hoor, we ruilen Cobus niet in!

Die Südsee Japans
... und natürlich ausschliesslich japanischer Speisekarte. Das machte aber gar nichts, denn die Ishigaker sind alles andere als scheu oder zurückhaltend, und wenn Kagoshima das Neapel Japans ist, ist Ishigaki der Markt von Tangiers oder so ;-) Und so bestellte dann nach halber Rückfrage der einzige fastenglischsprachige Gast einfach für uns mit. Erhalten haben wir ein super Sashimi und eine Art Omelette mit Belag, die ebenfalls sehr fein war...

... i only had a few hours before the bus to Kabira. of course, i went in the wrong direction.
i was delighted (and slightly dismayed as i now had cash) to find the local "market" was right next door to the post office. full of kitschy touristy stuff i merely looked around and managed to escape without purchasing. next stop was the supermarket where a variety of unhealthy goods (milk tea and buns!) were purchased to consume over the next few days. Messing with hermits
... i ate something (groceries as i was too cheap to pay for meals), pulled out the mattress and went to sleep. or tried to. being the off season the place was almost deserted but i got stuck next to the girls who droned out my brain with loud chatter. around 2am i couldn't take it anymore so i banged on the wall. finally, all was quiet.
the next day, i awoke with a plan. riverboat tour. how to get there? rent the mountain bike i saw the night before. ...

... i vandet samtidig med os, mens vi var der. Og det var, når det gik vildt for sig.
Som om det ikke var skønt nok, så havde pensionatet endda en stor dejlig hund, som jeg fik grovkælet med hver morgen. Den hed Lab eller noget i den stil, var en ældre dame på 14 og lignede en gul labrador men med kvast på halen (?!) - nåååååh!
Vi fordrev dagene med at snorkle i vandet lige ud for hotellet. Det var en ...
