... this period of year there are mostly aged people resting there, however I noticed there a lot of clubs near the beaches, so I consider that in summer this town is full of students. The beaches are sandy and what is important all those beaches are public. And one more thing - there are NO PRIVATE BEACHES in Lloret de Mar!

After lunch we set off up to the castle, inside its walls are numerous little houses which are still inhabited, although the satellite dishes were rather incongruous! After all this exercise it was time for a cocktail followed by a spot of shopping before eventually heading back to L’Escala.

When we returned to L'Escala after a day in Barcelona, we went in search of a restaurant for dinner (it was only 10.30 after all and diners were just arriving). Although L’Escala has a lot of shops, many only open during the high season – however there seemed to be quite a few restaurants so we headed to one on the waterfront where we had pizzas (Milly’s was an interesting seafood combination including mussels still in their shells ...

The timeshare (Port de Rei) is situated a short distance out of the town of L'Escala. We drove through town following Dora’s directions, but were not too sure where we were headed, eventually ending up outside a large building built on a rugged coast overlooking the Mediterranean. A la izquierda, la Minerva. Es la playa principal de Tossa de Mar,
medirá aproximadamente 200 metros de extencion y de la calle al mar
habrá unos 100 metros.
Esta muy bueno acá, hay sol pero no molesta, hace calor pero no
agobiante.
la parte urbana es pequeña pero muy linda, con callejuelas y todo muy

... really is like walking through his brain. Everywhere I turned there was something else to look at and ponder and react to. That was how this whole weekend went actually: 360-degree awe. Figueres also had this great little restaurant with walls covered in fresh bread-the paninis were amazing (another thing I've learned-enjoying myself is usually dependent on the basic human things...beautiful places are much more beautiful when my stomach is content haha ...

Sitting on the balcony now having caviar, beer and cheese with my sister and wife....does not get much better than this for our annivesary!!!

I take a bus to Tossa de Mar, a small beach resort on the way to France. It is along the Costa Brava where the hills meet the coast making for some dramatic landscape.
