    ... transfers was actually a ferry ride across Bodensee, where we had just taken my parents the previous weekend. I would have to say it was one of the best trips back to Germany that we've had! It was such a treat getting to see the Alps all around Bodensee. After our ferry ride, we caught our last train, which brought us straight back to Ulm.

    ... It has been so easy to get around from town to town
    The last week has been at the house swap just out of Zurich. It's a lovely comfy and large house in a quiet village, yet easy walk to the station and half an hour from Zurich. What's more...they have the complete boxed set of Downton guess how we have been spending our evenings!!
    Now it's come to the stage when I'm excited about getting's been a wonderful adventure,but there's no place like home!

    ... in. With 1 more hour to go, we decided to just wait it out at the train station. We went to collect our luggage which we had left in storage at the station. Took us a while to find it though as we kind of forgot how to get back to the storage lockers.  Eventually our train came, and we made our way to the airport. Karen did the check-in for all of us using e-tickets on her phone. The SWISS airlines staff member simply scanned each barcode from Karen's phone screen. ...

    We went on a walking tour based on a map from the reception of the hostel. It took about 3 hours, half of which was spent in the park playing cards. (Vicky destroyed me) We went to three churches, one of which we couldn't figure out how to enter. There was a cool view of the lake over the bridges too. The park was cool I guess, but ...

    ... eyes. There are no painted spaces and so it is a bit of a free for all where you park. We have seen cars parked on corners. There are however parking inspectors so there must be some system. With parallel parking People reverse into the space and gently bump the car behind, move forward until they bump the car in front and then reverse to fit midway between.
