... only 24 kilometres back. Once again, the little feeling of nervousness came upon me because unlike the Bosnian's these guys were really doing their job so the traffic banked up waiting to pass through the inspection post. Each car in our line, I.e., the one for non Europeans, seemed to take a heck of a long time to get the all clear. Anyway, after what seemed a reasonable time it was our turn to front up and hand over our passports. The guy seemed to take forever before ...

When we got there we tried them both, one of them worked and the other didn't. So we went down and I happened to have my student ID on me so we convinced them to give us a child ticket with the ID and ended up paying around 4 euros for the both of us to walk around the walls instead of ...

It was relaxed... yet filled with anxiety at times about my willingness and readiness to come home. I ate, I ...

... pretty crazy heavy. We could almost fill the kettle with that was coming from the awning, as a giant puddle began to form in front of the van... How to back the van out this giant puddle became an issue rather quickly as the water was now ankle deep. Luckily our neighbours the kiwis were up and about and keen as we were to get out of the site, so offered us a hand if we needed. Wheels spun and we were going nowhere on the first attempt, so ...

    Old town of Dubrovnik

... there was still a crowd building up.

We walked around the city centre and viewed some of the churches before heading up to walk around the city - a major must do on any visit.

The views from the wall are amazing, both looking outside and back into the town. It was getting quite hot, so 2km of up and down stairs along the wall was quite tiring (a pit stop a long the way welcome by all).
