    Well we spent Saturday the 3rd of October doing what every footy fanatic would do - we watched the AFL Grand Final at home with my parents David & Gloria. They had arrived from Melbourne to look after the apartment while we are away. (Bonus - they also get a holiday in Queensland !) Our son Leigh came down from Brisbane to spend the day with us as well.

    ... walked close to 40km - ridden buses, black cabs, tube, and the overground. Yesterday we spent the day with the lovely Auntie Carol and Laura who played tour guide taking us through Westminster Abby then off to the West End to admire the plethora of theatres and shows. Ending up Oxford street and in Selfridges for a spot of tea and cake (well coffee and admiring the cupcakes!) Time to head off for a bus tour and more sights before we depart tomorrow for Paris! ...

    The club has only 500 Members
    The waiting list is huge
    If you are invited to join you are on a 2 year trial
    You can buy a debenture for 50,000 and get 2 seats - after 5 years the Club refunds you 2,000 and they keep the rest and your time is up!!!!!!!!!
    All members must wear white clothes when using the courts
    The Club makes a profit of 34,000,000 each Wimbledon tournament mainly from the TV rights, ...

    I settled into a morning of running the advice line, and began chipping away at my information sheets, before receiving a new assignment. The new assignment entails reviewing a grant application, and an assortment of attached documents, such as a breakdown of activities and timeline.     ... where the Beatles famously recorded the Sgt. Peppers album with the photo of them on the pedestrian crossing. Heaps of people crossing the road, taking pictures of themselves crossing the road, and generally giving all the motorists trying to drive down the road the sh#ts. We just took a picture of the mayhem. Into a nearby pub for a nice lunch and a couple of drinks. Then back on the tube and back to Bond Street for a bit of shopping in Oxford Street. Too ...
