Our last nite with Steph had been a blast and this morning it was a lazy one packing up and getting ready for our midday ferry. The previous nite Harrison found a cafe that had fire engines in the window so Stuart promised they would return for breakfast so as good as his word Stuart and Harrison left the girls packing as they visited the cake shop in Sydney. Harrison was disappointed their were no fire engines inside or any reference to fire engines ...
... and went to do laundry, get some food for the room and Murray was delighted to get his haircut. We have heard about the night market here which we will go to tomorrow night as it's really close and we want to use up our change but the main plan is to chill here to prepare for Alaska. I am getting really nervous now as I don't really know what we have signed up for but Murray will calm my nerves as will the hot ...
... and had a nice meal and then off to bed as we had to pack up and head out in the morning for the ferry on the bus.
The day again turned out foggy and as we waited for the bus more people showed up that had tried to get a flight out by both sea plane and airplane but due to the fog both were cancelled, we boarded the bus and left on time again we were first on the ferry which meant we would be first off, we went up to the cafe and had a lovely breakfast and then out ...
... Well, we can each check one bag and carry on one bag . . . anything else is extra . . . how much . . . $11.20 (not $11.50 . . . $11.20 . . . go figure!!). So, I pay to check two additional bags.
Then things get interesting . . . remember the big box at the ferry terminal in Prince Rupert . . . well, that big box had a bike in it . . . only I didn’t know it had a bike in it . . . I don’t know if it was made of titanium or some carbon fiber ...
... tait beaucoup plus intéressant, j'ai vu des trucs vraiment géniaux et certains m'ont fait pleurer de rire (Funny Bones buskers -- cherchez-les sur YouTube), mais je n'ai aucune photo parce que j'étais trop occupé à regarder! Et enfin je me suis bien sûr promené au milieu des voitures, en reprenant de photos comme il y a 8 ans -- la boucle est bouclée.
Après ça, et bien mon temps sur l'île de Vacouver touchait à sa fin. Il ne me restait plus beaucoup ...
