      ... it was late afternoon and we both wanted to get into the water and cool off. We opted for the swimming pool at the resort, which was very clean and a comfortable place to swim. Although we were clearly the youngest people staying there.

      ... They had a great red blend wine - I bought me a bottle. In addition to the winery, they have an awesome bathroom. I know this may sound strange but let me explain. Before you enter the bathroom, there is a arbor. On the arbor are vines that have the most beautiful aqua and purple flowers that we have ever seen. We met a couple from MS. We suggested that they use the restroom. They gave us a very strange look but understood when they got there.

      ... but also breeding. By March they start the long trip north for feeding.

      Soon we will be exploring the island and Jim will be taking photos. We will be here for World Whale Day on Feb. 14 and Chinese New Year on Feb. 19 bringing in the year of the goat. Stay tuned...

      ... afternoon but it was just too much, my hat wouldn't stay on and I got tired of it quickly! Came back and read and snoozed for awhile. Booked tickets to see the "Slack Key Masters" show in Lahaina, so we drove over to that side of the island, nice drive - the roads here are great! Our gps took us a little off course and we ended up at the Ritz Carlton - fancy schmancy. Very nice beach area but the water was really rough, really high waves, crashing ...

      ... it.     After the beach we went back to our hotel, got a couple of drinks and some nachos to get us to dinner. We then got cleaned up and hit our first Luau (Drums of the Pacific Luau), which was outside tonight:) We enjoyed the Luau, eating the buffet, watching the fire twirling and the hula dancing but it was not on the beach like we had hoped so that part was a disappointment.
