Historical Traveler Reviews Holiday Villas Kissimmee

Nice place at a great price!

      from

We stayed at the Holliday Villas April 20th-27th. There are 5 of us, so we usually end up booking 2 rooms whenever we travel. The villas worked out to be much cheaper, and a whole lot bigger! Having 2 bathrooms was certainly a plus when trying to get everybody ready in the morning. It was in a nice quiet location, but still close to resturants and attractions. We would definately recommend this for parties traveling with more than 4 people.

      Definitely worth considering

      from

If you're headed to Disney World this place is definitely worth considering. With light traffic it was typically not much more than a 10 to 15 minute drive back from Disney.

Found it on TripAdvisor and booked it through Orbitz.

Somerset Villas--one of three locations managed by Holiday Villas--is slighlty off the beaten path--not right on the nearby busy, heavily commercialized highway (Route 192) which has everything you could want--lots of restaurants, grocery stores, entertainment, etc.

Great units (maybe a hundred or so), spacious--plenty of room for everyone, well equipped, clean, very affordable, relatively quiet, a "clubhouse" on the premises with an adequate pool and hottub, and a friendly/helpful staff.

Heads up: the office (Holiday Villas check-in) is off-site (about 3/4 mile away) in a storefront facing Route 535 where it intersects with 192.

The place empties out early when everyone heads to the parks and refills slowly late in the day. We would definitely do it again.

      The Best Accommodation

      from

I stayed at the Somerset Villas last August with my parent's and grandchildren. I was so impressed by the size, cleaniness, and newness of the villas. We felt like we were in our own home. Everyone had their own rooms and the living area was very spacious. We were able to eat breakfast and then go out for the day. There were 2 tv's and 2 baths, with 3 bedrooms. I am booking another holiday next month when I visit my grandchildren who live in Florida and plan to take them back to Disney. This is the way to go. You won't be sorry.

      Loved the Villas

      from

Loved our stay at the Laguna Bay Villas and would definitely stay there next time we visit WDW. With a family of six who usually has to rent two hotel rooms, this was a real treat to actually have a very large living room and full kitchen. We never went out for breakfast and we were able to do our laundry the night before we left so that we could just come home and put our clean clothes away. The only problem we had were the people upstairs with the toddler running around at all hours.

      Would highly recommend.

      Huge disappointment in Laguna Bay...

      from

I can't imagine that the previous reviews are real. I went out on a limb to trust them as my family was looking for a 3 bedroom villa recently on our 3rd visit to Disney in 3 months. Yes that's right we went to Disney 3 times in 3 months. We live in Florida and got a season pass and have been getting our money's worth.

I can guarantee you one thing. I will NEVER stay at the Holiday Villas again.

We got off to a bad start when we got there at 1:00pm and even though we requested an early check-in, there were "no rooms available". And I was told that none would be available until 4:00pm. I later found out that this has something to do with how the rooms are cleaned (not one at a time) and that they NEVER are able to let someone check in early.

Wish they could have told me that to begin with! My baby girl needed a nap and wasn't exactly a peach having skipped it.

So we go to downtown disney for a while and at 4:00 I check in, find our villa and find out it is a complete dump. Now I have stayed in all kinds of places from the Super8 to the Wyndham Palace and let me tell you this is a dump. It is extremely musty and there is mold all over the windows. The carpet is all stained and is that cheap stuff they use in college dorms. The walls are paper thin so trying to sleep at night was a challenge when you have people in the apartment upstairs. Just walking around upstairs sounded like elephants were living there.

We spoke to a couple of other people there that felt the same way. One guy asked to move rooms only to find the new room was a dump too.

It was a real shame to visit such a wonderful place and have to stay in such a dump. We almost left to find another hotel, but we decided it would just be a waste of a day tryinh to find a new place and trying to move.

We could not wait to leave this place.

Needless to say, I do not recommend this place. Next time I want a villa, I will stick with a name brand like the Sheraton Vistana Villas or something.

Loved the Holiday Villas at Somerset

      from

We are a large family of 7 (2 adults/5 children) and found Holiday Villas to be wonderfully accomodating! Lots of room - clean environment - and friendly customer service!

You are a fool to stay anywhere else!

      from

I can only say that staying at the Holiday Villas was the best thing we ever could done for our vacation to WDW. The rooms were in tip-top condition, very clean, full kitchen and laundy, spotless bathrooms...I could go on. 10-15 minutes from all WDW attractions. Having a family and these accomodations made life easy for us. We didn't go out to breakfast once. Check in was easy (even though we arrived at midnight)!

The rates and space can't be beat. As I say above - you are a fool to stay anywhere else.

      Just like home

      from

We thouroughly enjoyed staying here. we had a 3 bdrm condo and a huge livingroom. Lots of room for all of us to have our space after staying in hotel rooms for so many nights. clean and very well patrolled by condo security

      Great find... very convenient

      from

I discovered Holiday Villas on the internet. The premises were in excellent shape and very conveniently located for visiting Disney. Good value for the money. I am planning on visiting Disney again very soon and will try to stay there.

      Really Nice

      from

We just returned from a visit to Orlando and stayed at Holiday Villas.

I would definitely recommend this establishment.

The location was excellent for Disney and the other attractions, yet was in good proximity to Lake Buena Vista, Pleasure Island, etc. The condo was very clean, spacious, and had nice amenities. A very helpful & friendly staff. The value was tremendous. The clubhouse rec. facility and snack bar were also very nice. This is the best condo we have stayed at so far in our travels.

I was attacked by two birds. I'm ok. We then headed for lunch at Pizzafari. Good food, not a line at all. After lunch, Kaleb, Kylee and Jodi rode a dinosaur ride. Once again, we all had fun but Kylee wasn't that impressed. Our next ride, Kaleb and I got on ...

We were just getting out of the spa and some people came in to get into the spa and asked us if we’d seen the launch that had happened about 15 minutes beforehand… Darren had actually noticed 15mins earlier a rather large slow orange light in the sky which he thought was quite weird – not a normal looking plane. You went up so many ramps, where you passed things like "Support Potter" and "Potter Stinks" banners from the Goblet of Fire and a replica of Mr. Weasley's crashed flying Ford Anglia that was animated with headlights flashing. Then you went in to an actual building, which was the darkest ...
