... to walk to the Luxor next door where we jumped on the monorail up to the Excalibur. On the recommendation of Jonathan's trusty California Road Trip book, we headed for the 'all-you-can-eat' restaurant.

Several large platefuls of eggs, bacon and pancakes plus juices and coffee later, we headed up to New York New York, home of the Roller Coaster which twists and turns its way around the hotel. So soon after breakfast, we decided to leave the roller ...

Monday we woke up and went to Market café downstairs, then out to the pool Yikes it is HOT here! It is 108 degrees. We hung out be the pool until about 2 pm. Then we walked over the Venetian. What a weird place! It is inside, but sort of feels like you ...

... Ben and I would return one day
to see a show (they were too expensive to take 5 of us to) but I
have no great desire to ever return. ,

We had planned to be there for 5 or 6
hours but we got home 10.45pm as it's a bit of a warren to walk the
strip. You need to use lots of glass walkways above and between
buildings. I'm glad to say we have done it and it was certainly as
    interesting day!

... Paris, Excalibur, New York New York, all with stupendous replicas of well known buildings and covered in lights that turn night into day and dazzle the senses. High end shops, bars, cafes and restaurants pack the spaces between the hotels and tumble onto the busy footpaths that heave with holidaymakers representing a diverse cross section of the global community. And then there's the casinos, the reason that Vegas exists and the ...
