... Fi. Whilst people sunbathed, picniced, walked through, contemplated life, we sat down on a bench to read.

Relaxed and ready to move on we made our way towards the waterfront and onwards to the Notre Dame. We made a slight detour to buy some gourmet cupcakes (and terrible coffee) which we scoffed before joining the seemingly never ending queue looping its way all the way back to the cathedral. ... our way to dinner. Dinner, which was fairly simple, finished by 7 and we headed back to the hotel by way of the RER. It was definitely a rush hour experience, complete with being crammed into cars like sardines. Once we got back to the hotel, most of the kids settled in and went to bed! ... views from the top were great even though it was cloudy. On the roof of the Notre dame there are gargoyles at each corner. They are all different and interesting. Also surrounding the steeple are statues of the twelve apostles.

... cafeteria on level 6, get a coffee and marvel at the looking over the rooftops of Paris to the Eiffel Tower in the grey mist.By the time Cath meets me and due to the late start we lunch at the cafeteria with a plat du jour and a piche of vin rouge. A person could get use to this. After lunch we find some nice thin black wool socks for my new patent leather ball shoes.
