... won’t need to eat now until we get home. We chatted the afternoon away, well Claire and Lisa did, when those two get going about the uni days!!!! We had a very peaceful afternoon and struck lucky on happy hour, so we couldn’t not have half price afternoon cocktails, could we? Then peace was shattered when the karaoke started. Some were ok but others really shouldn’t have bothered. It just didn’t seem right to ...

Walked around Bridgetown and took some photos.

Had lunch at a restaurant called Lobster Alive. As the name suggests, they specialise in lobster. You order and are charged on size, which ranges from Very Small to Very Large. I opted for a Medium which cost 126BD – about $65. It was served in the shell of course with a side salad, fries (which I think were made from sweet potato – very tasty) and a little bowl ...

The countdown is on but what better place to start thinking about going home than Barbados(not really ready to think about that). ... man. Ruby seemed to have other plans from the start and was more interested in the other local Lucian boys. Edger never yelled at her, she didn't actually have a job on the boat but mostly because he was trying to get into her pants. However the triant of abuse at us was enough for her to put her off and she declared that she wasn't going to race another day with us. Adam also said words to this effect then and later on at the pub, day 1 and ...

    The last lap

A travel blog entry by audreyatsea on Mar 21, 2010

... four or is it five days now since leaving Barbados to cross the Atlantic. Had a wonderful day at the Hilton in Bridgetown with a lively sea but a clear blue sky.

Tomorrow we do our completely under-rehearsed pantomime of Cinderella and on Tuesday we reach our last port of call, Funchal, Madiera.

Home at midday on Saturday if dear Rob is able to pick me up.

This is my last blog. Thanks for participating.

    love to all.
