... today. After wee left Fort Charlotte we went for a drive and ended up at Rawacou recreational park. This is a park with a man made pond. It was beautiful. The boys were able to swim and play without fear of the large crashing waves of the Caribbean Sea just behind them. The pond had accumulated some seaweed all around the beach side so my Scouts got to work and cleaned it up!!! I am so proud of ...

... and its chaotic traffic made worse by being market day, our driver took us to a super beach where we had a rum punch and enjoyed the lovely sandy beach for a while before returning to the ship.

All in all a splendid trip capped off with a Caribbean party on board complete with local steel band.

The party atmosphere was great not to mention the rum punch. Well in the home of Bob Marley the party has to be good. Reggae ...

... every family/individual has to be questioned by customs before going through. Finally after 45min we were through and then we were met by the driver from the resort. He was confused as we had 1 bag and another small bag with some shoes he thought that some of our luggage had gone missing seeing as the other lady who arrived had almost the same amount of luggage as the 6 of us!! ... asked to wear for the entire week - not the most sterile advice. In the end, I was shown the anaesthetic drugs and equipment, helped hold down a screaming child and took a history from a really friendly man with an inguinal hernia. The last patient we saw had HIV, TB, some serious clubbing and a hernia the size of a football entering his scrotum. Not nice. There were so many differences to the UK health care I'm used to. ... we went, but we weren't stopping so it went a bit faster. Since my flight wasn't until much later, I had an opportunity to go kill some time on the beach.
