Today (Wednesday 2nd April) was the first day of the open racing at the Australian Surf Lifesaving Titles which are held every year during March/April. Surf clubs from all over Australia participate in these titles which brings thousands of tourists to the area each year and this year Scarborough Beach was lucky enough to hold them. Today was my first day in the city of Fremantle in Western Australia, this was my first time in WA and I had no idea what to expect. The morning was crisp and the wind had a chill (which is totally different to Noosa!) However the weather didn't stop me from exploring the town and most importantly Scarborough Beach which is where I will be spending …

The bus route took approximately 45 minutes, but it didn't feel that long, looking out the windows, seeing all the beautiful …

Our tour guide, Carol, was absolutely lovely and her knowledge of the cathedral was outstanding. The history of the cathedral was interesting with the three stages of building since the 1890's; extensions in the 1930's and a major re-build in 2002-2005. 3 centuries of ...

We had heard about the New Norcia Open Day and so drove up there for the day- 120Klms North East of Perth. It was actually a Spanish Day so there was a few Spanish orientated events such as the flamingo dancers, extra buildings open and a piano recital. The Monastary began in 1847 and was hand built by the monks from local stone/rock. They then built a ...
