      ... County Park #148

Connie & Ralph brought ribs and beans for dinner. Very cool to have them come and visit us. Spent the evening catching up.

Enjoyed a slow morning. Went to the dog beach with Maggie and spent about 4 hours at the beach enjoying our last day out. Beautiful day.

Supposedly this is the "secret island" that presidents, dignitaries and celebrities sneak away to, because the island denizens have a low-key attitude regarding celebrity and fame. We don't know about that, but we do know this really is "Florida unplugged."

And we also know that during our time most anywhere in the Barrier Islands, we have felt on "island time."
