... had for 10mins and after they cool taking the skins off and we are going to freeze them to do with them what we please. We did mix them with a brill savoury sausage meat open pie, really delicious and a bit of crunchy texture. We took a canvass bag, a bag for life type and wondered into the woods, 15 mins later we had about 5 kilos of nuts by just picking them off the ground and being picky ...

We then went for a walk around the lake and happened upon a group of sweet chestnut trees and what can you do!! so we collected a full CLEAN pooper bag in about 10 mins. We just need to find a recipe for chestnuts as we can't eat them all at once. We managed to get the satellite working and it's Downton tonight. All in all a good ...

... time pigs, and of course the eternal cows and calves. It is harder to smell the roses when you know you have a long day, as you keep wondering if you are half way yet, or if we are yet less than 20 or 10 kms to go etc. So will have to try and not be like that tomorrow and not agonise about how much is still to go, as we manage fairly well, and there is plenty of daylight....not as if we will be lost or ...
