We were here last year about this same time so we planned a return trip. This year the weather has NOT been very favorable for beaching. So our plan is to stay further south next year either on the keys or near Naples until mid March to return here. While we were in he ...

We noticed a woman in the restaurant when leaving who had a couple of biscuits with grape jelly and a large plate of grits with big pads of butter and salt and pepper generously applied. She looked very content.

      Crossing the
Stateline into Florida we were hoping for a little warmer weather than we had
      been experiencing.

      Taking the
alternate route Highways 90 & 98 rather than the very busy Interstate 10
Highway, we found ourselves winding along the shores of the Gulf of
Mexico. More white sands and blue
waters made it a very pleasant trip.
The sand seems to get whiter and the water ...
