... Palace and magnificent 23 hectares of gardens. The Palais du Luxembourg was built in 1612 via Henri the 9th. Hundreds of people sitting and chatting which seems to be their favourite pastime. Great Britain 'grades' the historic parks and gardens that are listed in the National Register. ("There will always be an England", as they used to say in The New Yorker.) Today we visit two Grade I gardens.
