... and by the second half of day 1 were going right to the very top of the mountain which is over 10,000ft to ski the trails down. On the second day it was extremely powdery and there was a High Avalanche warning which was a bit scary but apparently is still fine to ski if you keep to the trails. The soft snow makes it harder to ski and Billy found himself snow up to his waist after trying his skills on an advanced trail - silly billy.

Today it was the Giant Slalom. Two runs several hours apart with the lowest total time the winner. As it was yesterday skiers only have a course inspection several hours before. Knowing that this is the final hit out for the athletes on the Birds of Prey course before the 2015 World Championships we knew the world's best would be here and we certainly have not been disappointed.

Once again a cloudy overcast day with a light dusting of early morning snow ...

Thurs 4 Dec
Really was a repeat of Wednesday. An overcast day with some flat light made skiing a little challenging. In some ways we have spoilt ourselves at home as we really only ski bluebird days now. However when you only have 2 days and Beaver Creek is on your doorstep then you ski no matter what the conditions. So we did! The sun broke through the cloud late afternoon ...
