I decided to venture out to the old town today. I met a couple in the airport who had been here 15 or 20 times and keep coming back. They said that they stumbled across the old town accident one day after being here five times already. I had actually read up about the old town before I left I decided it was a place I wanted to see therefore my hotel it's really near to that. It didn't disappoint when I did finally get there. Along the way I spotted cake shops selling Rhum babas but ...

October 10. We are heading to Turkey. Unlike our other travel days, we don't need to be up early as our flight to Athens and then onto Istanbul is not leaving until late morning. All is well...we and our luggage are checked through all the way to Turkey so we only have to go through a passport control and security in the Athens airport. Our flight to Istanbul is on ...

... our radar. So it is dinner in the hotel dining room and an after dinner amble through yet more streets near the hotel.

October 8. We are off to Lindos by bus. Our Transat rep told us that Lindos was worth the visit and that we would be about two hours on the bus getting there. He was right about the first and wrong about the second. We arrive in one hour and begin our explore of the ...
