Tis the night before flight, only 1 creature remain stirring, while the other is with wine and close to his sight blurring. ... that is. Un huh. I found out there was an island nearby, other than the one on the resort. The second day I was here off I went to Anna Maria Island. It is a wonderful place with sugar sand beaches, great seaside cafes and bars and is just laid back as can be. I walked out on the beach, but didn't go into the Gulf of Mexico cuz I didn't have my swim suit along. Lots of folks were sunning themselves and just enjoying the good weather ...
Day 2. Started off in 20% chance of afternoon showers at 730. Then if I would have gone another 20 miles I could have saved a bundle on the hotel, but I was tired and it was getting dark. So still right choice. Wrote off the moonshiner 28 and dragon last night, need to make some time, but promised myself the blue ridge parkway. The ride to the BRP was uneventful. ... and a few drinks wandering up the main street. A perfect way to end a fantasic 6 weeks in the mighty USA!
The following morning we sorted out are rucksacks, got a GIANT cuban sandwich from a nearby cafe and spent the remaining few hours by the pool before going to the airport to catch our flight to Rio via Washington and Sao Paulo!!!
