... traffic lights, here people stand in the sweltering heat (95F) holding signs with one side "slow" and the other side "stop". It took a bit longer to get to the beach, but we had enough protection with us to keep us from getting sunburnt. When we arrived at the State Park, we were welcomed by a friendly official, who confirmed that the entry fee had not changed in 2 years. We paid 8$ for entry and parking. ... had all the streets closed off in Venice .The vehicles were all on display by their proud owners with over 200 on display . In the lineup on the streets were Camaros, Chevs , Monaros, Thunderbirds, Mustangs (muscle cars mainly)….many of them convertibles dating back to the 50’s, and a few ‘Al Capone’ style vehicles from the 1940’s.. A glorious sunny morning, with all various coloured paintworks shining brightly in the hot sun.
