Ken was telling G about a man (on another occasion) taking his second shot on the 7th fairway, who got a little close to the lake that is beside it ,when a large gator shot out of the water and grabbed him by the leg and started to pull him back into the water . It took quite a beating to its head by the other golfers with him, before it let go and retreated back into the water.... we always make sure to place the golf cart on the water side of ...
... Pier. The Pier projects out into the ocean - we could see the shore waves breaking on the beach beneath the floor boards and the building shuddered with the waves pounding the ocean poles beneath us on the beach front.
Sundown and we continued to the end of the Island to see the famous lighthouse at Ponce Inlet- arrived at 7.30pm, in time to see the last of the sun reflecting on the top of the lighthouse lens, then the flashing of the lens took over as darkness fell.
... so it's about NZ$1.22 ltr which is quite a help on a long trip! About half NZ prices. Diesel is dearer than petrol but I don't think they have road user charges for mileage.
Most groceries are quite a bit less at Walmart etc. I spotted some lamb 'shoulder spare ribs' which looked like boned out shoulder cut into strips, and was $12 for 2 lbs = NZ$7.26/kg. There is hardly any lamb on offer.
Beef, the main meat offering is about the same price as at home. Cooked chooks ...

Good day, we had to change sites this morning. Moved across the street to site #45 very nice and will stay here for the 2 days. I really like it here very laid back and quiet. Only thing I miss is cable TV...but I will live and make it through the evening. We went down the road today to Destin. Stopped at a few beach towns along the way. Very nice here ...
