    As you may expect (since we docked our ship there), Las Palmas is a seaside city with and abundance of palm trees and is therefore so named. The grey skies that greeted us soon melted away to reveal the endless blue one would expect from this holiday destination.     We docked at Gran Canaria at around 07:00 local time. Clearance was granted at around 08:00, so passengers and crew were able to go ashore shortly afterwards.     ... stayed in with no blinking lights. I took a nice nap and then we packed up our big suit cases. The bikes, vans and big suit cases will all travel tonight on a ferry over to Tennerife. We went to the pool for afternoon tea time. Merry Christmas sitting in the sun enjoying tea is amazing.     ... of how the sand dunes were formed. It was such a peaceful way to end the day. Back at the hotel we enjoyed a special Christmas eve dinner prepared for us.
