... fact that every evening in Tobago is akin to a 'warm summer evening', combined with the fact that the Caribbean sea is approximately 73% rum, I feel that I have had quite enough. Where some countries have a 'wet' or 'rainy' season, I believe that Tobago has a 'rum' season. This season lasts for 6 months, only to be followed by 'double rum and coke' season.

Instead of detailing what I have got up to in the past two weeks (as this would be about as interesting as the content of the elective monitoring inbox), I have decided to take inspiration from the 'Quality Improvement' section of the elective report, which is new for this year. Therefore, here are a few quality improvement suggestions I have for Tobago, broken up into 'Less' and 'More'.
"We're going to need a bigger boat..."
These famous words echoed in my mind as I began my first diving experience in the Caribbean Sea. Unfortunately, I didn't even have a boat: all I had protecting me from the various tropical underwater beasts was an ill-fitting wetsuit and an oxygen tank that apparently weighed more than three skinny white boys. I couldn't help but feel that I would have preferred an actual tank, complete with turrets and cannon.
My problem ...
... and mud. As we slalomed around the island like a drunk ski instructor, I noted that the 'roads' were about as straight as a John Barrowman/Justin Beieber collaboration, and had almost as many holes as the plot of the Dark Knight Rises.
Our subsequent afternoon on the beach was otherwise uneventful and played host to no events that I have deemed worthy for further pop-culture metaphor.
