... Square, and around the area called "Leopold Town". We were following a self-guided tour in my Rick Steves guidebook. At one point we passed the US embassy and you wouldn't believe the security around that place! There are physical barriers preventing cars from getting close without security clearance. And there are tall gates around so people can't get too close either. There are even signs prohibiting photography in the area!

... to Schonnbrunn Palace the summer residence of the Hapsburgs. It eventually became their main residence. It’s a magnificent building, painted in pale yellow, Empress Maria-Theresa’s favourite colour. Our ticket included a tour of 40 of the 1 400 rooms in the palace, a visit to the Privy Gardens and the Gloriette at the top of the grounds which provided wonderful views of the palace, grounds and beyond to Vienna, and a strudel ...
... of Fine Arts, and to the South by the Palace of Art. The monument itself is impressive to see, and it reflects the fact that Hungary has both European and Asian historical roots. The helmets worn by the rulers are of an Eastern European design and reminded me of some of the helmets and crowns we saw at the Kremlin in style.

... the tour but I think this girls was the best "the more you have, the more you give, the less you have then the less you give" which is a really nice way to put it. A lot of them go on about how its a FREE tour so its great! It's for US to choose what we pay but then at the end they say you should tip about what you would expect to pay for a normal paid tour... Well if we all wanted to do that we would probably just pay for a tour to start with! So as you can tell ...
... but Cam didn't mind it.
Following this, we headed up to Galav hill and visited the Lady of Liberty, who looks over the whole town, with her leaf of peace. This walk was even higher then the walk up to the royal palace but well worth every step. This view was twice as high and as good as the one from the palace. We sat up here for ages just taking in the view.
On the walk home, we grabbed some ciders for balcony drinks before we headed to the Sparty (Spa Party) later ...
