        drawing a unicorn ******* a rainbow. Well done! I hope a SkyPoint
climber sees one of those some day!

Our SkyPoint Climb let us also go back
to the Observation Deck at any time later that day. We realized we
would only have time right after the climb, so looped around and went

so my ears popped going up and down. We took plenty of panoramas and

Wednesday 12th August, Boonah to Runaway Bay, 109 kms. Left Boonah at 10am.

Nice sunny weather. Stopped just after Canungra by a dam and horses on main road for bread rolls with ham from Boonah Butchery (Country Butchers are the Best) and salad. Enjoyed the finality of our trip by having a snack by the van and taking in the country side. Off again and arrived back at the factory on the Gold Coast to park van and empty it ...

Breakfast at 8:30 am. Packing again. 10:00 am check-out. Backpack into luggage room. Doing some online money transfers. Working a bit on the blog. Getting into the shuttle van. Being dropped at the bus terminal (Roma Street). Check-in at the bus terminal - pretty much like at the airport (never had that before). On the bus, 90% backpackers age 18-29. Feeling like an old lady. Gazing out the window. Last third of the bus ride heavy ...

... from home again, because they had just travelled for the past 24 hours we just had a quick catch up over a cup of tea in the hotel room and let them get a few hours sleep under strict instructions by Charlie of course that they must wake up in time for lunch at 1pm so not to get too jet lagged. Whilst Charlies parents were sleeping we headed out to a cafe called Cherry and Twigs as recommended by Alex. There we had an amazing coffee and breakfast, took advantage of the free wifi ...

... So the kind caravan park staff had put witches caps out to prevent people from walking or driving on them.

By the time we got the car back we were pretty close to Schoolies Week. The Gold Coast and Schoolies Week didn't make for a good combination (I must be getting old!), so we then only had the one day left to explore the Gold Coast and couldn't do any of the things we wanted to do in South Brisbane. We'll just have to come back another time....
