The whole edifice cost around C$3.5 million ... real money at the turn of the century ... and, though it isn't as big as Hearst Castle, it's really really impressive!

... director of Shkagamik-Kwe in her "truck" - this thing was massive. Made my Mazda 3 at home look like a damn toy. Anyway - she took me 20min out of Sudbury to meet her mum who was super lovely. Will be returning out there. In typical Canadian style - after hearing I had not had lunch yet - she prepared a beautiful lunch for us. SO NICE!

Anyway - home now. Just had dinner and hopefully about to watch an ice hockey match unless I fall asleep soon!

We were surprised that everyone drove BMW's, Audi's and Mercedes' - but gas was so expensive that Mark figured those who could afford to drive, could afford the nice cars. Although I was confused at which direction the roads went because they parked wherever they wanted and in whatever direction they wanted. thankfully ...
