... what he's been up to. What I've been up to. I had told him that I was happy that I took this trip and told him how it was everything I needed to get away from my comfort zone. It was good to talk to him and hear him say he misses me. That today would have been better had I been there. I do miss him, and Lola. I miss Lola more than anything. That little charmer is filling my heart when I see her!
Off to sleep I go for tomorrow's adventure....

*Town location (such that it has a market and couple restaurants/cafes nearby within walking distance)
*Not too far from an airport/city in case of emergency
*Safe environment (especially travelling with kids)

Following our hour and a half in the forest jungle, where we sweated like never before, we rejoined our bus and drove this incredibly rough gravel road to a spot etched out of the mangrove swamp for a lovely lunch and local music and then a boat ride down a canal that joins an estuary. The trip was short, about 1.5 hours.
Made it to Jaco and forgot the name of the my hostel, so I went into an Argentinian restaurant, had a beer and used the Internet. Decided to rest a bit, made some calls, and I had a delicious "Parilla para uno" (Meat Argentinean style - $3,600 C), which considering the prices in CR, It did not seem that expensive... and it was delicious! :)
... later learned that his starter motor was broken and the car had to be started by letting it free wheel down a steep hill and then crunching it into life! En route to the jungle we passed over a concrete bridge and the guide suggested that if we wanted to see some crocodiles then here was the place to do it. After pulling over and giving us instructions to walk across and meet him at the other side, we did just that and after only a few steps into the bridge, it became ...
