    ... gift for the kids. I was so happy to find two of the pencils in one of the shops on the main street.

    Jaco is a party town where people come to surf and drink the night away. It reminds me of South Beach in a way. Jaco is nice but a little too touristy for us. We are glad that we are only in this town for one night. Tomorrow, we head to Uvita.

    ... and I planned to do some shopping in Jaco, a bigger beach destination town about 25 minutes away.

    Jill even woke up by 8:00am this morning and we were off an hour later. It's been beautiful here, sunny and high's in the mid-80s.

    As laid back as Esterillos Oeste is with few tourists that I've seen so far, despite being the high season, Jaco is the opposite with busy streets and loads of people. ...

    ... communicating with Herman, the owner, for a few days as I had been enquiring about tyres. Anyway, he got one of his guys to tighten it correctly and didn't charge me. Thank you. He has been down to Patagonia a couple of times and did warn me that there may be a lot of snow at the time I am planning on being there !!!! Deep joy !!
