      ... steps up to St. George’s Church and the beginning of the marble sidewalk that I had read about in the guide books. The sidewalk eventually changes to more of a slate and not as smooth surface and then to cobblestones.

      The marble sidewalk (except where there’s dog poop) makes the town look so classy with tons of unique shops…nothing like the cookie cutter souvenir shops you find in the other islands we visited.

      Following our brief stop in Athens, we caught an evening plane to Santorini, arriving at 8 p.m. after a 40-minute flight. As we exited the airport, we saw a man holding a sign for "Pacuelle Manbei", which we correctly interpreted as referring to Rachelle, and off we went. We caught the bus back to our hotel and then walked back into town for dinner and a drink to watch another lovely sunset.  Santorini was a very nice place but can be very busy with the tourists, especially when there are many cruise ships pulling in.       ... exclaimed when we did so but we followed through. He went to unlock the car and his key didn’t work! He tried it again and it did unlock the door so we left well enough alone but content in our decision to not just take their word for it (a good scam if you can get it…).
